I started this website in August 2023 after my yard was overrun with lanternflies. Because I have small children and grow vegetables in the yard, I am in search of non-toxic methods to reduce lanternflies. I live outside of Pittsburgh, PA and 2023 is the first summer that we have dealt with this invasive insect. Unfortunately, it looks like lanternflies are here to stay in Pennsylvania (and most of the East Coast), and they will likely extend their reach even further in coming years. On this website, I will document approaches to reducing lanternfiles, the latest science, and other relevant information. If you're here, it's probably because lanternflies are invading your neighborhood too. I'm sorry that's the case, but I hope this website can help you!
